About Jamie

Guitar Teachers Gloucester

I am a Full-Time Gloucester Guitar Teacher offering Acoustic and Electric Guitar Lessons.  I teach guitar privately in my home studio in GL1 Gloucester.  I also offer peripatetic guitar tuition in primary and secondary schools.

Guitar tuition for adults of all ages and children from 7Yrs, absolute beginners to experienced.  Learn just for fun or work towards acoustic or electric guitar grades (UCAS points available from grade 6 upwards).

I believe that guitar tuition should be fun and inspiring whatever age you are.  I work with all my students to find out what they want to achieve and the music they like and teach what they need to know using pieces they love.  I have endless patience and can guide you forward at your pace.

My BMus (Hons) in Music Performance & Recording from University of West London, London College of Music, has given me a firm real world practical understanding of the guitar, musical theory, composition, improvisation and performance. Even more importantly I know how to break this information down and make it really easy to understand.

I am experienced in many genres of guitar.  From Pop, Rock and Metal to Blues, Jazz, Funk and Fusion.  I am currently in a funk oriented function band ‘Koala Groove’, perform at weddings and various private events and a member of Heavy Metal band ‘Suffer No Fools’, who gigs regularly and is working on their second EP.

Our website has useful learning resources that can inspire and aid with home practice.  I also use recording software such as Cubase and Pro Tools to record students’ projects.

The first lesson is free and is a chance to ask all your questions, for me to find out what you want to achieve and to show you what you will be learning!
