Hello Drummers! I am a Cheltenham based drum tutor, offering 1 on 1 lessons at my studio, online or at home! And also teach in schools across Cheltenham. I offer this tuition for any skill level, from absolute beginner to advanced. For ages 6 and above!
I have been drumming for over 14years, and am qualified in academic courses including a; Level 3 Extended Diploma in Music Technology, and a Bachelor of Arts (with honours) degree in Music Production.
Teaching music is about revealing musical potential, created by the experiences, and fun, from an individual’s journey of learning. This philosophy of teaching should be tailored to each individual, and how they want to express themselves through their instrument. To truly focus, and enjoy these skills being developed, in technique, mentality and ability. And from this, explore the benefits, playing music has to offer!
I am a certified academic tutor for grading and exam preparation through Rockschool RSL contemporary arts syllabus, or can use the Trinity, ABRSM and LCM syllabuses if preferred. I focus on techniques in genres including: Rock, Pop, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Classical, Blues, RnB, Punk, Metal, EDM, and more… I am fully DBS checked, and also a member of the Musicians Union with public liability insurance.
I have performed around the UK including Bristol, Liverpool, London and more. As a band member, session drummer (live and studio), dep musician, audio engineer and producer. Working with professional artists and bands such as Sapphire Blues, Watercolours, Stelphy, Kocky and Sean Walker. At various Studios including Invada Studios, Factory Studios, Rockfeld Studios, Skeme Studios, Future-works Neve Studios, BCU Studios, and more… Performing shows around numerous UK venues including The Louisiana, The Fleece, The Exchange, The Lanes, Mothers Ruin, The Victoria Dalston London, The Finsbury London, Guildhall, Frog-festival, Underground Festival, Lakefest Official, Broad-stone festival, 2000 Trees festival and more.
